Chocolate Cupcake Recipe:
1 2/3C Flour
1 1/2C Sugar
1/2C Baking Cocoa
1 1/2Tsp Baking Soda
1/2Tsp Baking Powder
1Tsp Salt
2 Eggs
1/2C Shortening
1 1/2C Buttermilk
1/8C Vegetable Oil
1 1/2Tsp Vanilla Extract
Put all dry ingredients into a large bowl, add eggs, shortening, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. beat in mixer for like 1-1 1/2 minutes, then beat on high speed for 2 minutes, fill muffin cups/liners 1/2 full with batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-16 minutes. (mine took 13.5) Yes I'm that picky, 13 minutes isn't long enough, and 14 is too much! haha, I'm just funny that way. :)
Hershey's "perfectly chocolate" chocolate frosting
1/2C Butter (one stick)
2/3C Cocoa
3C Powdered sugar
1/3C Milk
1Tsp Vanilla Extract
Melt butter, Add powdered sugar and cocoa alternately with milk, and then vanilla extract. You may need more milk, it depends on what kind of consistency you're going for.

(yes I forgot to take pictures of adding the wet ingredients, sorry!!)
I also somehow forgot to take pictures of me making the frosting *face palm* Oh well frosting is frosting you really can't mess this recipe up, as long as you get all the ingredients in the bowl and don't over cook your cupcakes, you're good. :)
I could eat this icing up with a spoon!! *actually I did* it's sooo yummy all by its self. :D
I originally found this recipe *cupcake recipe* in a Hershey Chocolate cookbook about a year ago.. I've switched a few things up over time trying to improve it, but at this point why mess with perfection? :P
(btw I receive compliments every time I make these!!)
When I make chocolate cupcakes, I always use this recipe, cause it's ah-mazin' :).

I just popped over from Susan's Between Naps on the Porch Metamorphosis Monday to invite you to participate in my Patisserie Tuesdays linky party. It focuses on the sweet sides of our kitchens and your cupcakes would most certainly fit in :D You can read more about Patisserie Tuesday here http://elisabetpollock.blogspot.com/p/patisserie-tuesdays.html I hope to see you there and please let your baking friends know about Patisserie Tuesdays, the more the merrier, especially when it comes to sweet treats!
