White Chocolate Cheesecake

Hey you guys!! Here's a wonderful cheesecake recipe I made recently, It's called a White Chocolate Cheesecake, it actually has white chocolate in the batter!! something else that makes this different from an original plain cheesecake is that the crust is like a shortbread cookie as opposed to the graham cracker crust.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies W/ Two Chocolate Drizzle

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies definitely taste as good as they look. :D

This is a really good cookie!! You know how some cookies are really really sweet, like... too sweet? these aren't like that. NOR are they a super healthy blah cookie, they're kinda like a mix between them, I'm not saying they're blah, they taste healthy-ish and they're the perfect sweetness. :)

Homemade Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Homemade Coffee Cake
Homemade Cinnamon Coffee Cake

This is a really great coffee cake recipe, I found this recipe in a Taste of Home cookbook some time ago, and I've made it several times since then, this is definitely a favorite around our house.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake Recipe:

1 C Butter
2 3/4 C Sugar (Divided)
4 Eggs
3 C Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
2 C Sour Cream
2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tbs Cinnamon

Bake at 350 for 53 minutes, the actual recipe says 60-65 minutes but in our oven it would be burnt in that amount of time. The worst thing you could possibly do when baking is to over cook your goods!! that or forget the sugar. :P

Going In The Oven!!

Oooo :)

Yum!! I think what makes this coffee cake have such a great texture is the sour cream. Speaking of texture, DO NOT over bake, it's better to check on your cake and it still not be done, than to check on it and it be over cooked, or even burnt. :(

You can't really smell the coffee cake when it's in the oven, but when it comes out you sure know it, the kitchen smells scrumptious!!

Do you have a favorite flavored coffee cake?

Perfect Chocolate Brownies

Perfect Chocolate Brownies

Perfect Chocolate Brownies

I call this the "perfect brownie recipe" because I just couldn't imagine it being any other way, the brownie is oh so moist, and the icing is melt in your mouth goodness.

I found this recipe a while back ago and each time I've made it I would tweak the recipe a little bit, and now it's reached a point where I can't change anything about it, because they're perfect.

Perfect Brownie Recipe:

1 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c butter (melted)

1/2 c flour
1/3 c baking cocoa
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes

Icing Recipe:

3 tbs cocoa
1 tsp dark cocoa
3 tbs butter (melted)
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
3 tbs warm water
