DIY Christmas Wreath

Here is a Christmas wreath I put together the other day and wanted to share with you guys. :)

I purchased all these items at dollar tree (except for the foam wreath)
I have gift tissue, decorative balls, bells, garland bells, snowflake stickers and some mistletoe. :)
I wrapped the foam wreath in the glitter tissue paper, I used modge podge on some areas to make sure it stuck well, I went around the entire wreath about three times with the paper, just until I couldn't see through it anymore.

I hot glued the decorative balls, bells, and garland onto the wreath,

OH btw that hot glue gun, is well... pretty hot, don't touch it or drip it on your skin, and definitely don't stick your hand in the hot glue you just put on your wreath like I did.

I had fun making this wreath, I hope you will try making one of your own this year as well!! :)

Hand Painted Owls

I started collecting owls quite a few months ago, I really like them so I decided I should make some. :)

Here is what I did to make these cute little owls:

1. Cut the signs out the size I wanted them
2. Sanded them down really well
3. Primed and painted them white
4. Stenciled on the owls
5. Hand painted the little guys
6. Put a clear sealer on them

On one of the signs I sanded down some areas on it and put a dark walnut stain on it before sealing it.

Walk Across Texas Complete!!

It's over! I'm done.
I dragged myself across the finish line right before midnight. :P I walked 79.87 miles this week, my legs were so sore (I finished Friday)

I walked a total of 415.09 miles in 8 weeks, (halfway across Texas)
In the beginning my Mom and I had planned to walk across Texas together, dividing 830 miles between us two, I'm so proud of her, she walked a ton with me and encouraged me along the way. I honestly don't think that I could've finished this without her. Thanks Mom. :)

Just because I'm done doesn't mean I'm going to stop having walks and jogs, I'm still going to have a daily goal, I'm not sure what it is yet, but I can assure you it won't be 12 miles :P

Thank you for stopping by and leaving encouraging comments!

Disappearing Cookies!

These cookies are really good, I don't know why I rarely make them they're not difficult to make! Three ingredients, that's it. :)

Ritz Crackers
Peanut butter
White Baking Chocolate

1. Take two ritz crackers and sandwich a little peanut butter between them

2. Melt white baking chocolate in a double boiler, don't accidentally add any water to it, once water makes contact with the chocolate, the chocolate then becomes unworkable!

3. Drop your sandwich cookies into the HOT white chocolate, roll them around until all is covered.

4. Carefully remove your sandwich cookie from the chocolate and place it on some parchment paper

(DO NOT BURN YOURSELF!!) :(

Ritz Crackers With Peanut Butter
Melted White Chocolate
Parchment Paper.... :P

The reason I named this post "Disappearing Cookies" is because I actually didn't get a picture of the cookies... That's right, they all got eaten before I could snap a pic O.O

I will be making these again soon, I hope you will too! :)

DIY Blu-Teal-Ful Birdhouse

I purchased this birdhouse at Michael's for $5.00, I primed, painted and distressed it, in the end it wound up to be a gorgeous little birdhouse, I almost hate to put it outside!
