Daniel 10:2-3
"In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled."
Can Eat:
All Fruits
All Vegetables
All Seeds & Nuts
Whole Grain Pasta & Bread
Can't Eat:
Any Type Of Meat (Including Fish)
Dairy (Including Butter & Eggs)
Junk Food Of Any Kind
Caffeine And Sweeteners (Even Natural Ones)
Any Beverage Other Than Water (Including Tea)
White Flour
Chocolate D:
Pretty Much Anything That Comes In A Box (Because Of The Stripped Or Enriched Flours, Preservatives, Additives, Chemicals, Hydrogenated Oils And Dyes)
To start off with I don't eat beef or pork, I quit any type of carbonated beverage 2 years ago, and I stopped eating chips in the beginning of December.
To be completely honest with you I don't miss any of that stuff because it's been so long since I've had it so there's no way I could possibly crave it. :)
This is still a big change (I mean hello, no chocolate!!) but it's still a good thing to do, we discipline ourselves in several ways, but not always when it comes to what we put in our body..
Here's what I ate on the first day of the fast
1/4 Cup of oats mixed with water, cooked on stove top and sprinkled with cinnamon
1oz of cashews
Teeny Tiny Pear :) |
Apple
Brown & wild rice (takes like 45 mins to cook) with sauteed carrots seasoned with rosemary
Dessert ;)
nothing but "Seedless Raisins" yay :D
Thanks for taking time out and reading my post, I appreciate it :)
Made With A Plan,
Danimo

Stunning photos Molly! I also agree, No Chocolate oh my!! I know you can make it through 21 days though even if it may seem difficult. Good luck and I hope you post more about this as time goes by.
